How to use this file:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- To use this file you could use the SWF 'as is' and just replace the current video and images and add your content by editing the XML file. If you wish to edit the FLA, all elements and code are contained within movieclip "banner_mc". When you publish your movie, always make sure your SWF is published to the same location as your content folder and XML file.
- To add your content, first create the thumbnail images and save them to the content folder. Then create your FLV movies. I recommend using the standonline Flash Video Encoder which comes with Flash 8 and CS3. Note that some FLV encoders do not record the duration time in the video meta data which will result in no progress bar and undefined duration time when you play the video in Flash so for best results use the Flash Video Encoder.
- Once you have created your images and videos and saved them to the content folder, you will then need to define the video details in the XML file. In the XML file you can set the aspect ratio of the video, name and path for the thumbnail images and videos, the title of the video. See attributes: Aspect,, Thumb, VideoClip and Title in the XML.
- To change settings in the flash file see INITIAL SETTINGS in the code for "banner_mc" movieclip. You can set variables such default volume, buffer time, stage width and height etc.
- See comments in the ActionScript for further help.
